ABOUT ME
As part of my Ph.D research, I have developed the luminance-texture-mass (LTM) framework for timbral semantics. Since then I have worked as a research associate on multiple European or nationally funded research projects involving the evaluation of computational creativity in the domain of music and the perception of musical timbre. I have also been supported by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) with a two-year post-doctoral grant to investigate the complex interaction between musical timbre and other musical parameters (e.g., harmony, melody, rhythm) towards inducing musical tension. As of late, my research interests have drifted towards cross-modal correspondences and multisensory perception.
I have recently founded Soundpear whose mission is to enrich gustatory and olfactory experiences through sound and music pairing.
